Nutrition - 6 Months

• At this age add supplementary feeding in addition to breastfeeding, add each new food type separately, and avoid food that is known to cause allergy in the family

• Give the food without salt, sugar, or spices, until the completion of the first year

• Do not heat baby food in the microwave

Safety Standards

Make sure that small and sharp objects are kept way and not scattered on the ground

When your child’s teeth appear, wipe the teeth and gums at least once daily

Do not give the child small solid foods such as nuts, raisins, and cut carrots due to choking hazard

Ensure iron and hot drinks are placed out of their reach

Put safety covers on all unused electrical openings

Do not shake your baby

Avoid using baby walkers because they cause loss of child motivation to move by themselves and also can cause accidents resulting in serious injuries.
